Landau has been around since 1938. Its founder Rudolph Landau started his company by making uniforms for service station workers and garage workers. He sold the uniforms out of the back of his car.

Soon he had moved into a retail shop and had expanded to medical uniforms. In 1957, after Rudolph died, his son came home to help out the business. Landau was the first company to make medical scrubs with prints.
